Revision of Weiss' KMM 1 of 1963. Changes to the original parallel those made between the HL 1 and HL 70 desk fan designs in which the number of materials used were reduced. As a result the objects gained a more unitary appearance and, more negatively, Weiss' original design intention - to articulate constituent functional elements - was undercut. The use of bright synthetic colours in the revised designs signalled an aesthetic move from HfG functionalism towards a more pop inflected form of technological expressionism. see: KM 20 1978 with integrated cable storage
